pattern for necklace

I have always wanted to make a necklace with this certain pattern on it. I always tried describing it to people and they woulge get the idea, but no one knew how to do it. I am going to describe it here and see if anyone gets it and could tell me how to do it.

Something like that...it necessacarily does not have to come down liek that but I want the *V* shape to it. so it sort of looks spiky
someone posted a picture over the summer, maybe, of something like what I wanted.

Also, does anyone know how to make a necklace by stringing beads on it and making it in a square shape?
like 3D square shape?
