Hi everyone, this is my first post to this community and I wanted to share this project turned out very sucessfully. I collect greetings cards with art I like, as well as business cards of course, and made the following item to put them on them on my wall. ("What? What's corkboard?")
Photos and materials and notes

(Artwork on the cards copyright of their respective artists.)
I frame prints and original artwork somewhat frequently, and this notice board (namely the frame, mat and gold ribbon) came from the materials I had on hand. All in all, they were:
1 large empty wooden frame with hanging wire attached (from the flea market, $3)
matboard scraps taped together in a rectangle outline to make the "inner frame"
sofa fabric samples (came in a bunch for $1, also from the flea market)
1 gluestick (used to glue the samples onto the matboard that was inserted into wood frame)
gold ribbon attached to the matboard to display my folded cards on
needle and thread to sew the gold ribbon to the fabric on the matboard
nails for securing the matboard into the wooden frame and for hanging this to the wall
The project took maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours, though I did work on it in spurts so I'm not sure. Anyway, besides being able to hang cards and notes on the horizontal ribbon, I also liked that I could insert cards between the frame and the matboard. The colors overall matched my room really well (not to mention I was integrating the wall into the display anyway)!
Thought I'd share this project if anyone had the same materials and collected cards like I do, or could use it to display other items they can think of.
Thanks for looking!
