Alligator stuffie
Jun. 28th, 2006 10:49 pmA while ago I fell in love with the alligator pillow on uncommongoods.com. I tried to reproduce it and it turned out allright. Not perfect, but allright.

The body is a green tafetta sort of material I've been hanging onto forever and I did all the embroidery on the sewing machine except for the teeth, which I did by hand.
I feel kind of guilty for such blatant copy-catting, but, well, I really wanted one and I am pretty broke right now, and I had all the supplies...so...*toes the ground*...I just did it. I'm giving it away to my friend's five year old for his b-day next week (I hope it doesn't scare him) and here's the worst part - I'm going to make another, better one for myself. Please don't berate me for copying...I'm not going to sell them or anything like that.
P.S. To everyone who said all those nice things about the Beady Leaf Bracelet I posted a while ago, thank you soooo much. You guys have encouraged me to keep trying at jewelry making. It is rather fun, really.
P.P.S. To everyone who piped in regarding my request for Domain/Hosting recommendations, I also thank you. It spurred me to do a lot of research and I found a host that looks very promising - hostexcellence.com. Now I just have to think of a good dot com name.
