Hairsticks!

I'm so glad to finally see sunshine again!

I got a lot of things done over the last week (since I couldn't really go anywhere due to flooding), including a batch of hairsticks.




Chinese Writing Stone has a rich brocade color and matches perfectly with the dark wood of the hairstick. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.


Jadeite flower and vase stone carvings. In Chinese, vase is ping, which also means peace. This combination is a wish for peace and prosperity. About 6" long and all findings are sterling silver.


A continuation of my goldfish line. Carnelian colored agate goldfish carving. About 6" long and all findings are sterling silver.


Jasper gourd carving. It is a Chinese belief that the gourd shape symbolizes protection from evil. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.


Shining jade pi disks swing gracefully on delicate sterling silver chain. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.


Carnelian longevity symbol carving. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.


Lotus root Mother of Pearl carving. Beautiful and delicate. Represents the good in all of us. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.


Peach and ivory pearls delicately hang from the end of the hairstick. Pearls represent beauty. About 6" long, and all findings sterling silver.

I'm hoping I'll be able to post more - things have been so crazy at work that by the time I get home, I really don't want to be looking at a computer...and that's sad. And I love reading craftgrrl and seeing everyone's creations!
