Preperation H boxes turned into crafts

Can you use the primer paint put on walls to prime it for color on plastic? We have those preperation H wet wipe boxes and they're perfect for crafts but you can't really paint them or anything because most paint don't take to plastic. And can you sand the words off the top of the box maybe w/ith a soft grit sandpaper? I know I could do other things to hide the words but a big PREPERATION H on the craft item is pretty darn tacky.
