Jul. 5th, 2006 03:59 pmWhile hanging out at work with the bf yesterday, one of his work wives (the 2 girls that I made the necklaces for) sees me making a necklace for a friend's mom and says, "OhMyGod! I saw this thing about crocheting wire! You should SO try it!" (okay, imagine all that in one breathless rush...)
Schmuck that I am, I look it up and - before even trying it and please pardon the pun - I am hooked.
I saw a really neat cuff-like bracelet that had multicolored large-ish beads on it - all "bubbly" like.
They also said to start with those colored telephone wires - what you'd get if you stripped open your telephone cord (LMAO! Who has THOSE anymore?!).
The point is: Has anyone ever done this "crocheting with wire"? Is it as easy as "they" say? I mean, it LOOKS pretty cool, but....
Are the supplies costly and is it time consuming?
Thanks! :D
