Hello, I'm Micky! I'm a first time poster, but I've been a member for like... a week or something. I have no concept of time so it may be longer or shorter than that. For that time, I have practically LIVED in your FAQ. There is just so much neato stuff in there! I solved problems like gluing glass to things and how to paint metal (altoid + aol tins). But now I have a challenge for you! Woo!
See those babies? Those are little plastic canisters slides come in when you get them developed. So tell me this, what can I DO with them? The tops are translucent, and they have a little separator inside the bottom to create two rows. They has to be SOMETHING I can do with these things! One idea I have thought about is printing pictures and gluing them to the inside of the lid, then punching a hole in the bottom to create a little "view master" or sorts. Because of the divider and width I could put in two pics and two holes, one on the left and one on the right. If you guys have any other ideas please let me know! I am taking a photography class this semester so these babies are piling up!
Also, if any of you have any nifty links to crafty room decor sites (I love sparklecraft.com) I would really appreciate them! Trust me, I read every relevant post in the FAQ hehe.
Here's a lil room decor idea I had. When cleaning out my grandmother's house after she died I came across a few things I took home with me. Among these was a wooden framed knitting bag that collapses flat, and opens to stand on its lil wooden frame. I don't know if that makes sense, but so many of you knit I am sure someone out there has one and knows what I am talking about. Well I use it as a magazine rack at the end of my sofa! A little decorating, and it is cute as a button! People don't usually even know what it IS. I love it.
Also, today I accidentally broke a mirror (seven years bad luck, oh well). So I shattered it and plan to glue the pieces to my wall all pretty-like. I'll post when I finish!
Sorry my first post was such a long and rambling one, just had to say hi!
