Ok ladies,

A few of you have asked to know how the home-made pads work for me. This evening is test #1. If you wanna day by day thing I'm going to make a mention every day in [livejournal.com profile] unluckymonkey of how it's going.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Hello, I'm Micky! I'm a first time poster, but I've been a member for like... a week or something. I have no concept of time so it may be longer or shorter than that. For that time, I have practically LIVED in your FAQ. There is just so much neato stuff in there! I solved problems like gluing glass to things and how to paint metal (altoid + aol tins). But now I have a challenge for you! Woo!

What can I do with... )

last night i went to an antique show and bought 8 comic books from the 60s and 70s and a children's book from the thirties. i won't cut these up, but scan/photocopy them. any ideas for crafts with these?

Hi everyone...I've been watching and learning from this community for a while now, and thought I should introduce myself. Of course, I need some advice also.

My boyfriend and I are moving into a new apartment. It's much smaller than the one we're moving out of, so we're doing a lot of down-sizing in order to fit in our new studio. It's an older building so the apartment has tons of molding around the door-ways and the perimeter of the ceiling. It also has tall rectangular "frames" on all the wall space made from smaller molding/trim that really adds character to the apartment itself. It will be a bit challenging hanging shelves, but I know we can get around that.

The walls are all painted the normal "apartment white" and I was wondering if someone could suggest a way to paint or add color to the molding and/or frames to give the apartment an original look.

I promise to post pictures when we're all moved in, so you can see how it all turned out. This is my first big project like this, so I'm a little nervous. I really appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you.

I got a job at Michael's Arts and Crafts! Yay! I work in the frame shop, but the best part, is that I get a 25% discount! Projects, here I come!

Hey,
I'm currently reviewing zines and magazines for my university newspaper and was wondering if anyone had zines they wanted me to review? Email me at Nerdieangel@aol.com and I will tell you where to send them.

Thanks,
Melinda

Hi. I'm a newbie to this community. I'm curious to know if there are any art students in this community. I'm working on a project using color pencil. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for making the color pencil blend easier instead of looking kind of jagged. If this post is irrelevant, you may delete. I thought that colored pencils are kind of crafty, but maybe no.
