Thanks to
kickandslide for her tremendously inspirational post on felt-book-making. Also, to all those who posted their efforts afterards, I thank you too!

Kidlet's name was gonna be Dominic. I knew this one month ahead of time. One month was enough, I thought. Five months later I was done:

I'm not an artist, and mostly I am a crap crafter that has to try anything once but never really perfects anything. Mr. Owl is a very obvious clue that I am no illustrator or maker up-er of cartoons/illustrations; mostly the things featured in the book are from online clipart, etc. searches here and there. Just sayin'. You know. Anyway...

Mr. Owl...hoo hoo! I know, mostly no little one will ever know who Mr. Owl is. Maybe he was for the adults. Or just for me.

Mom is a nurse, natch.

Oh the horror! I did say thanks to those who came before me with their felt book creations but I did not recall that someone had used "IGLOO" for "I!" I found
sookie74's felt igloo in the memories. Doh! Did not mean to copy. Was trying so hard not to copy. Also, Waldo is hard to make little, and hard to make out of felt. I wouldn't say he's particularly hard to find, either.

The shower was to be airplane-themed. I'm sure airplanes on the cover made no sense four months later. Or did they...
Mom seemed very happy and teeny tiny baby (even at five months old by the time I finished) could have cared less but I'm sure he will appreciate it someday. Toddler sister of teeny tiny baby loved it! I will probably make her one of her own someday.
