My Newest Project
Jul. 25th, 2006 08:41 pmWell, here's a sample of what I've been working on lately. Take a look and tell me what you think.
Using the infamous screen printing technique posted in the memories section of this very community, I decided to make "I EAT DIRT" onesies for my twin daughters. In preparation, I bought some Gerber Onesies and died them chocolate brown (1 pkg black RIT dye mixed with 1 pkg brown RIT dye, then washed 3-4 times to soften the fabric and soften the color).
Then I went to my local hobby store (which was having a 33% off all screen printing supplies sale) and purchased some opaque white screen printing ink and some Mod Podge, then I went to town!
After all was said and done I had one onesie - tell me what you think!

I know the image isn't the best and I know the printing is a little rough, but I thought it was pretty okay for a first try!
