Jul. 26th, 2006 04:02 pmHi! I am new on LJ but I have been looking at craftgirl for about a month. I love reading all of the amazing crafts you guys put together! Yesterday I made a couple things that I was inspired by from the craftgrrl archive.

A book I hollowed out, closed.. obviously.

Opened up. I used a picture for the bottom of the box, which I may replace with a fabric sometime.
I lined the frame of the box with a little collage of pictures that came from the cut pages.

A possible money-holder?
I also saw this idea in your archive;

And I was stuck in my room late at night with not many supplies but some bobby pins and nail polish! For some of the colors I used different eyeshadows mixed with clear nail polish. These were fun & easy. I am adding them to my sister's present for her birthday tomorrow!
Today I spray-painted an ugly candle tin black and used a couple pictures from pages out of my hollowed book. Results:

The lid.

The bottom.

That's all.
I need to get used to livejournal. When I was typing this the first time I pressed backspace one too many times or something, and the whole post was gone! I had to re-do it again.. mehhh.
