I have some beautiful bright red fabric with white heart polka dots on it for £2, perfect for making a dress I thought! So I dug up a Simplicity dress pattern I thought would suit, only to realise after carefully reading through that it doesn't suit patterns 'cut on the nap' meaning with a pattern which has to be seen one way up. Does anyone know if this will ruin my dress, or if I can just carefully cut my pieces with the fabric right way up and then hope that the darts don't affect it too much?
