mold stains on painting

craftgrrlSo I bought a cool painting at a second-hand store today. I was really excited until I looked at the back of the canvas and it seems to have mold stains on the back. Is there any way to remove this without ruining the painting? The painting was only $5 so it is not the end of the world if it gets ruined but it would be nice to save it.
