A Birthday Card

The base of the card is white tag-board with a piece of scrapbook paper glued on top.
The "erin": done in embroidery threads (lavender, a regrettable colour choice due to its obnoxious inability to CONTRAST. However since i had already passed the point of no return with my glue bottle, that sounds a little kinky, I had no choice but to utilize A SHARPIE. This led to excessive doodling and the eventual addition of red buttons as an attempt to reverse the damage, BUT ALAS TWAS IN VAIN.)

But I guess if you look at it from certain angles it looks ok?

and the envelope
I wrote a really bad poem on the inside. I hope she doesn't think it's too crappy, 'cause all I wanted was to make her happy.
(Never fear, i won't post it here)
Hmm.
I guess it turned out to be one of those things where you start with a relatively decent-looking project, and end with a completely butchered one as a result of my wrecking it with "improvements." (On the other hand the wreckage may easily be misconstrued as artistic genius, in which case I will probably become rich.)
