One year anniversary...
Feb. 2nd, 2003 11:43 pmAfter dutifully combing the FAQ section, I'm coming to you loyal crafters for help..
My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our first anniversary on the twentieth of February, less than one week after Valentine's Day. I'm going to buy him bought things for that (candy, the zwan cd he wants..ect.), but for our anniversary I've decided to make the gift much more special by making it myself. The problem is, I know him, I know what he likes, but I don't know what to make..
He's very intelligent and very romantic. He loves candles (which would have been a great gift, I have instructions for this awesome candle), but he's not allowed to have them in his dorm room.
I contemplated the idea of the book..which actually would be great..except..he doesn't like most poetry, though he claims that he's partial to ee cummings. I think it'd be ridiculous to try to fill up a whole book with nothing but ee cummings, however.
I don't have access to a cd burner, and he hates tapes.
I kind of like the lego picture frame idea. There are only one or two pictures of us together, though, which also excludes the photo album or collage thing.
Any idea where I could get used smashing pumpkins tshirts (I live in a very small town in Alabama and it's almost impossible to get anything like that..)? He's obsessed with them and I'd love to make the tshirt quilt..but I couldn't acquire all the materials and make the thing before I give it to him (which will be between the 14th and 17th of this month, he has to go back off to college, so I won't see him on our anniversary). His birthday's in May, so I might attempt that for then.
His favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, and American Beauty..if that helps anything..doubt it.
Oh, by the way, any thoughts on how I could make the cover of a 1/2" 3 ring binder as hard as a book? In case I should decide on the book idea..
Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.
Thanks in advance..
