I would VERY much like to make some of the characters in Binkley's Anxiety Closet. I am having trouble finding any images online of Binkley's anxieties specifically. Can anyone point me anywhere on the 'net? I know all about the library, but I'm a wee bit snowbound at the moment!!

I put some new stuff in the paper mache community but I'm too brain dead to so the cute little LJ thingy.

PEACE!!

for the not so traditional crafters:
someone really paid $11.95 for these?
(ok, yeah, so they're sort of tasteless)
I know any of us could take this idea
make it so much better

I recently bought myself a 1" button machine, but my printer is shot and I need some help. Hand drawing them is fine, but I have so many designs that I'd really like to print out.

So in order to print out my designs, I need to get a new one, but I want it to be a good one. A nice photo printer. I was wondering, have any of you had any printers that you've had good luck with or heard lots about that you could recommend to me?

I was looking at this one but I've heard absolutely nothing at all about it.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm new as a member but I've been watching for awhile & I haven't seen my question (I hope). :)

It's about drying flowers; any tips? I have a bunch (tied together with string) and they've been hanging upside down all night, but the iris (I think) are not doing well :( I want to preserve them as best as possible.

I cut the collar off of all my t-shirts since I can't stand things rubbing my neck. I just take a seam ripper to them and separate the ribbed fabric from the shirt itself. Works great, but leaves a *huge* hole! Who knew they gathered the fabric so much around the collar? Some of them are so wide that they're nearly off the shoulder. That isn't a look I'm going for.

The shirts I've done this to all have designs that are pretty near the collar so I can't just nip some fabric in the center and secure it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to take care of this problem? I have a sewing machine that I'm quite a novice with, and can hand sew in my own odd fashion.

i'm fairly new to the arts+crafts world, but i'm interested in making beaded necklaces and bracelets. i was wondering what type of material i should use to hold the beads together- strings, wire, leather cord, plastic cord? i'm not sure what's the longest-lasting. any and all help is very welcome.
also- what type of clasp is the strongest? i used to use hook-and-eye fixtures meant for sewing, for lack of anything better, but those are a little too strong.

I'm a beginning knitter, and I just wanted to throw out an idea to the other beginners out there that can only make rectangular objects. A scarf seemed like a big daunting task to me at first, so I made a couple of headbands! They're cute, you knit the band, use different color thread to edge it with, maybe put beads on...I would take pictures, but I gave both of the ones I made away already!

I got bored while waiting for the festive period to be over and remade my old school tie. Yes , it's so not worthy of posting but I'm bored.

I know there's been quite a bit of related talk already, but I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to...

For those of you who have made record clocks, where did you find the mechanism in a small enough size to fit through the hole in the center of the clock? I'm at a standstill!

today i had nothing to do so i decided to be crafty. i melted some crayons in the oven for the first time, fasinating. and i also took a pair of pants that didnt fit and were VERY unflarering and turned them into a skirt! i dont wear skirts and i dont think i will ever wear this out but it was fun to make.

Hi ppl, I joined this community last week and have been looking through back entries wide wide eyes and a dropped jaw at the really awesome stuff everyone seems to be making! I'm new to the crafting game, have only ever made beaded jewelry but would like to give other things a go... From what I've seen, I'd like to make handy gifts (soaps and lipgloss kinda things) and would love to try my hand at a bag bar the fact I dont have a sewing machine...

Anyway, just saying hallo, and was wondering if there are any sites/projects you could recommend to a newbie like me? :D

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the cooking forum.

For Christmas someone gave my mother a big cookie mix "jar" from Williams and SOnoma. It was very nice and handy will all the dried goods going into it. All you had to do was add your butter, vanillia, egg ect.

I was thinking that these would make nice gifts and was wondering if anyone here had tried to make them and had any luck with it?

The only thing that I found bad about this mix was the baking soda was very concentrated and you could taste it through the cookies very strongly.

I bought a sticker mill today. I can make stickers out of anything, provided it's a thinnish, flat thing that's less than 5" wide. I've wanted one for a while, and they've gone down in price....and I had some money burning a hole in my pocket.

Here's my first sheet of stickers )

I almost feel like this isn't a craft, considering it's mostly drawing and computer-coloring and then turning a knob, but I thought you guys might like to see the contraption. I cut around the pictres with an exacto knife to make them look more machine-made. My biggest problem is that I dont' know where to stick them, so I have this small army of kitties on my monitor and the front of my scanner *grin*

I'm new to making bracelets..I saw a cool bracelet that you just place it on your wrist and criss cross it over. No need for clasps or anything.
What type of wire is this? If I pulled the bracelet straight out, it bounced back into a curl.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

After dutifully combing the FAQ section, I'm coming to you loyal crafters for help..

My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our first anniversary on the twentieth of February, less than one week after Valentine's Day. I'm going to buy him bought things for that (candy, the zwan cd he wants..ect.), but for our anniversary I've decided to make the gift much more special by making it myself. The problem is, I know him, I know what he likes, but I don't know what to make..

He's very intelligent and very romantic. He loves candles (which would have been a great gift, I have instructions for this awesome candle), but he's not allowed to have them in his dorm room.

I contemplated the idea of the book..which actually would be great..except..he doesn't like most poetry, though he claims that he's partial to ee cummings. I think it'd be ridiculous to try to fill up a whole book with nothing but ee cummings, however.

I don't have access to a cd burner, and he hates tapes.

I kind of like the lego picture frame idea. There are only one or two pictures of us together, though, which also excludes the photo album or collage thing.

Any idea where I could get used smashing pumpkins tshirts (I live in a very small town in Alabama and it's almost impossible to get anything like that..)? He's obsessed with them and I'd love to make the tshirt quilt..but I couldn't acquire all the materials and make the thing before I give it to him (which will be between the 14th and 17th of this month, he has to go back off to college, so I won't see him on our anniversary). His birthday's in May, so I might attempt that for then.

His favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, and American Beauty..if that helps anything..doubt it.

Oh, by the way, any thoughts on how I could make the cover of a 1/2" 3 ring binder as hard as a book? In case I should decide on the book idea..

Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance..
