This is a long-ass post.
Aug. 14th, 2006 12:35 pmSo okay, not too long ago, Mike picked me up a cheapie full size ironing board from our favorite Target. It's very nice and works a hella lot better than pressing on my kitchen counter.
But now, it looks very sad. The cover is all burnt up and ripping and all water stained and it is really grossing me out.
So my question, does anybody know of any tutorials for making a new cover? And like, what kind of fabric can I use to do it? The "cover" on it now is very thin cotton and just has no durability whatsoever. I want to do something that will last a whole lot longer.
Has anyone successfully recovered their ironing board?
Okay, and here is my new stuff.
So all of these pretties are in preparation of this weekend's craft fair.
And because I'm a sewing whore.
But only when the wee one is in bed.

A boatload of new hairbands.

I never know a good way to display and take pics of 'em. Doing them individually? Ugh, not unless I want to take like 35 million pictures of wee pieces of fabric and elastic. 'cause, no.
This is what one looks like on my dark-roots laden head:

And lastly, I made myself this new pincushion. I totally bit it off of Hillary over at wee wonderfuls. She did a lily pad cushion that I fell in love with.

I feel like hers is neater, but I like to hug mine too. Without the pins.
Over and out and thank you and have a great day and be well and be safe and much love to all!
Cheers!!!!
