i've been working on a lot of various things of late and just got around to handling the photos.
a photo frame and some marbelized paper, along with descriptions, are .
this here is a picture frame i made for my housemate/my future brother-in-law for his birthday. i found the flight computer at a thrift store months ago, and came up with the idea to turn it into a frame pretty quickly. the idea came rather easily, as there was an empty, plastic-screened side. (i think it may have been missing some components. the original should've looked something like this, i believe.)

so, the frame is a bit meta right now, as it's framing a picture of the runway he lands on (he flys small cessna planes as a hobby), but he doesn't have a spouse or pet or anything else i could think of for the picture.
craft # 2: a few weeks ago, i made marbelized paper with my craft group. we used these instructions. some of the other crafterpillers had some really gorgeous results, but it was a sweltering day and i didn't get around to taking pictures until days later. so i can only show you my own so-so results.

this last one is the result of the dregs of paint and sizing - we figured we'd experiment with all the paint in the pan before we dumped it. no marbeling was attempted, but the paper absorbed the ink in a somewhat interesting pattern.
