Freshly finished, a birthday gift for the old better half........

For the one I love, a sporran (sporran: bag that is worn with a kilt)! Complete with matching sporran chain belt.

Made out of tooling grade vege tan leather on the front and back, the sides are a more pliant cowhide.
Dyed with fiebing's Mohogany leather dye.
hand stamped with plain leaves and oak leaves and a ropey border seperating the two.
Brass twist hasp closure (the current one he has is a snap closure which just doesn't work well)
Decorated in brass studs, brass rivets holding the important bits together, heavy duty brass d rings throughout, and brass chain and buckle for the belt.
Edges are finished in a chocolate brown 1/8 calfskin lace using a double weave.
The sporran sides graduate from being 2" wide to 3" wide at the bottom since he also smokes a tobacco pipe and it doesn't fit into his current model.

Took about 48 hours start to finish to complete. All off my own design and pattern.

That's all for now!
