It's the O RLY owl!
Sep. 1st, 2006 02:11 amI made a soft toy of the O RLY owl!

His beak and mouth are made of felt, I only used a single layer for his lower jaw in the end. You can even change his expression by moving it around.
I also, for the first time ever, used one of those teddy bear joint things, in his neck. This allows his head to turn full circle on his neck. I'm very pleased how that came out - I thought it might be stiff, or the two layers of fur might catch on each other, but no, it's very smooth.
The spots I did with black drawing ink. They're a bit big and messy. I'll do them smaller on the next one.
