Sep. 1st, 2006 07:54 pmAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
that is how i felt when I got my "new" Singer sewing machine....
this is how i feel now.... GGGGRRRRRRRRRR
becasue i just got the dang thing my first sewing machine ever I have never even been this close ot one before... lol.
and it doesnt work.
so I have my nabore comeover to help me out to teach me how to thread it he took a clas in high school I didnt. so we have it almost all the way threaded but he doesnt know how to do the bottom part becasue he has always used self soemthing or others. and mine is a really old machine, so we try to run the thing. it wont. we take all the casings off. no luck seeing what the problem is.. so he leaves and I take off the hand crank thing and put it back on make it really tight and hand turn it the needle goes up and down for the first time. I think wooohoo I fixed it. so I plug it back in. Nope now it wont move. so now I can make it tight enough to get the needle to go up and down by hand but when I lossen in enough for the moter to start turning it the needle wont go up and down.
so my Question is... could this have happen in the mail or did I get sent a non-working machine. I got the incerence so the post office has to pay for it right? it only cost me 25 on ebay for this thing but it cost me 58 for shipping. its a all metal machine. and does anyone know a way I can fix it?
Also does anyone know if there is anything I can do to get all my money back including shipping (on Ebay) if it did get sent like this? grrrr.
or even does any one know what is wrong with it that may be a easy fix?
Edit-
from the seller
If all that was broken it sounds like it must have been droped. Please call them and file a claim. They will then contact me. See if you can get an amount of what it will cost to fix it. It was in great working condition when it left here. They will need the original box and packing. Please let me know what is going on. Thank you.
I think she is right i am sure she is telling the truth the pic's tell alot(from the listing). well it looks like I have to go though the post office to get this fixed. I will see if they will pay what it cost to get it fixed right after I go to the post office on monday I will take it to a repair shop... ok the only repair shop on Guam. That will be fun I dont even want to know how much they will over charge.
Hey may as well ask. Anyone here from or on Guam?
