craftgrrl | Transfer paper reassurance...

OK, so I read all the transfer paper VS. stenciling in the memories and they're really good but I guess I just need some reassurance...

I found an adorable unicorn picture (originally made for a Myspace layout) a while ago and I just thought of a way to use it when I woke up this morning! I was thinking of making a tote... I'd get white cotton fabric for the front and back and then some cute blue & white polka dots, pink & white polka dots, yellow & white polka dots, OR lime green & white polka dots for the two sides, a pocket inside, the handle and the bottom (Wal*Mart used to have the polka dot fabrics and I'm hoping they still do).

I modified the original twice and now I can't decide which I like better:

If I were to put this on the white fabric would it turn out okay? Would it get all cracked and gross? I'd really hate to find out that it was a crappy idea AFTER I did it because it takes me almost a month to finish a bag with my busy schedule.

If this one works out, I was thinking of doing the same thing with a picture from the movie Thumbelina... I found 256 really big screen caps that I could use (well, I'd only use one lol)! :)
