Handcast Paper Mask Midnight Crow
Sep. 28th, 2006 05:33 pmThis is one of my newest pieces, created with handcast paper, that is molded into a face, allowed to dry, then handpainted by me. This piece is named "Midnight Crow" and features a night scene of a winter tree with a crow and a full moon done in acrylics. The mask is 7 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide.
The eyes were painted seperatly and then inset into the back of the face and sealed with a layer of glossy gel to make the eyes look wet.
The face itself is then sealed in a satin varnish to protect it, Purple wire was used to attach ribbon for hanging. Face is signed and dated on the back and this is an orginal work of art.
