Finally, the FOs
Oct. 30th, 2006 10:13 pmJust a few random things I've finished that I was not too embarrassed to share with you fine people... I apologize in advance for the excessive use of novelty yarns.
I finished the felting and all for my mom's bag a few days ago, but the blocking didn't go as well as I'd hoped. I do love felting, though! It covers a multitude of sins. The handles were my first attempt at I-cord. All filled with the other things I've made (and previously posted) for her birthday (two weeks ago).
and the other side...
I made myself a wristwarmer thingie that I absolutely adore! I am so proud of the pattern for this one even though it is quite simple. I've been trying to figure out what to do with this yarn for quite a while now and this, I think, is the perfect answer. It's bamboo and has such a pretty sheen and drape to it.
and the palm side...
And me wearing it...

and a very close up shot ... (I liked this shot so much I am using it as my desktop wallpaper. LOL)

Then, before I could do a second one, my boyfriend's too cute 5 year old son told me he needs me to make him some new slippers. Grrr...how could I refuse? Only one is done and adapting the pattern to his size gave me headaches, but I think it's just cute enough that the picky littlebrat guy might even like it!
and a shot with my cat, just for added cuteness:
