Since my boyfriend primarily uses his laptop in the kitchen while preparing foods and such, I offered to make him a cover that could be wiped clean when necessary to protect it. I even let him pick the design for said cover, and have input on all of the little details, so he was pretty excited!



It being a Mac and all, he decided that his 'dream' laptop cover would feature the old-school "Apple" logo:



The uneven, yet still useful, side port opening to allow for hookups and such:



The cover itself is made out of white vinyl-ish material (it's soft on the inside, so it won't scratch the laptop), and the logo is made from various strips of fleece. He even went to the craft store with me to make sure that we had the exact 'right' color of gold for it, so he is officially the perfect craft bf for me and my crazy, "attention to detail"-addled brain. Considering that I made up the pattern as I went along, and sewed it entirely by hand, I'm fairly pleased with the end result. :)
