Nov. 18th, 2006 07:55 pmI've been browsing http://www.knitpicks.com/ for weeks now because it looks so delicious and beautiful and I'm itching to make scarves and hats for lots of people. Plus I really like the idea of using 100% wool cos it sounds fancy and luxurious!
But my mom keeps saying real wool is scratchy. :(
Other then the modal, cotton and silk, I don't know exactly what the textures of the other yarns would be as I've only ever used acrylic yarns before.
I've been leaning towards the Wool of the Andes 100% Peruvian Highland Wool for the colour choice but don't want to order a bunch and find out it's worse then a brillo pad.
Can someone give me a rundown on a few of the differences in feel? Anything I should avoid? I want to make things that are snuggly!
