miffy scarf!
Nov. 22nd, 2006 02:27 amThis is the first of four character scarves that I'm in the process of making.
Sorry I'm posting after 2 am. But it seriously took me about three hours.

Made of a 6-inch strip cut out of black anti-pill fleece. Miffy was cut out of craft felt, embroidered and applique'd onto the fabric. I went for a dark embroidery thread to attach it so that it would have that line-drawing feel because she is originally a cartoon. Her dress says "Sigma Psi Zeta" because the friend that I'm giving it to is in that sorority.
Unfortunately my fabric scissors are wimpy and I can't cut straight for my life, so the edges of the scarf are a bit wriggly. But I'm hoping that will be hidden by the fact that the edges roll in a bit.
