Crochet and knotting
Nov. 23rd, 2006 01:00 amI've been learning some new techniques. I want to practice my crochet so I can do it with beads. It has been YEARS!
I also put up a picture of the new knotting technique I learned in class. It was so fun I am going to try and take one class a month next year.
Crochet Bookmark - It came back pretty easy and this time I am learning the names of the stitches.

Knotted Netting with Octopus pendant - I thought the pendant fitting because the knotting technique is borrowed from how to construct fishing nets.
It looks heavy but it isn't. The beads are resin, wood, and painted jasper. I was surprised at how lightweight it turned out.

I used bigger beads so I could keep track of the net and knot rotation
