How I spent my Thanksgiving Weekend...
Nov. 28th, 2006 02:28 amI've been lurking for some time in this group but this is my first post. Finding time to craft can be challenging sometimes! Anyway, I've been working at mass-producing Christmas gift bags for my GINORMOUS family! Everything included is either made/altered, home-grown or home-baked. Here's the general package: Home-grown tea, home-baked biscotti, and a homemade little collage with a poem transcribed onto it:

In the tin is 5 teabags of the sort you seal shut with your iron - I grew the tea in my garden. In the plastic bag are about the same number of biscotti - boy I'm tired from baking! The collage is pretty self-explanatory - I got a pound of scrapbooking scraps for $1.00 and went to town. Collecting 25 poems took a while though - no two are the same. But a good poem with some good tea and a biscuit = priceless.
After I ship these out this weekend, I have a tree skirt, a big collage for my niece, and a tablecloth for my sister to make. Holiday fun!
