teddy grahams writing set
Dec. 2nd, 2006 03:46 pmThe idea came to me last night so that I couldn't sleep: Why not recycle some old snack boxes by turning them into writing sets? The first one I found in our recycling pile was a Teddy Grahams box, so I cut it up. Everything is hand-crafted...(including the journal binding, the tassle on the bookmark, and the envelopes). Materials/equipment: glue, thread, white computer paper, teddy graham box, scissors, ruler, yarn, pushpin (for poking holes to bind the stuff), tape, paint marker, pencil, penny (for tracing the rounded edges), file (for smoothing cardboard edges).
Here are all the components (L to R...journal, notecards, bookmark):

And here it is, all packaged up:

Next time I would like to find a better way to cut out the journal pages, as my wimpy scissors left the edges kind of raggedy...any tips would be appreciated.
