Christmas crafts
Dec. 9th, 2006 06:08 pmI finished my neighbor's baby blanket Sunday night, yay! I used the same pattern I used for the first baby blanket I did (that I never got pictures of, boo) so it was pretty easy. I like the yarn I used for this one better than the yarn for the first one.

Now I'm working on some small blankets for one of the local animal shelters. I figure it's a good way to get some practice without the pressure of it having to be 'perfect', plus the animals get little blankies to cuddle. :)
I also shamelessly stole
tydyehippo's 'snowman kit' idea. :P

I couldn't find little jars, so used those plastic ornaments that you can fill and snap together. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to put labels on them or not. Their scarves are actually a darker blue than in the pictures, and I used orange toothpick ends for carrots because I couldn't find mini carrots and no way was I making my own. I also glued the ornaments together because they didn't close very tight. I'm giving them away to family, co-workers, and neighbors. I still have nine more to make, but I think I'm done for the night, lol.
