I got my free issue of ReadyMade Saturday, and decided to make the hat that they have a pattern for. Mine is not quite the same (I think they threw theirs in the washer again after it was sewn), but it fits pretty well right now, so I don't think I'm going to throw it back in. I still have plenty of the sweater left, though, so I'm going to make another one. I think I'm going to leave the knot off of the top this next time.

Things I learned:
I need to learn to applique better.
Using paper to make a design doesn't work if you can't get the paper off once you've sewn it on. (I tried to make a star in red thread on the front, but ended up cutting the thread, which caused it to unravel, when I tried to get the paper out.
Felting is way freaking messier than I'd expected it to be. I thought the sweater had completely disintegrated in my washer. Next time, stick the sweater in a pillowcase and tie it shut.
