Dec. 26th, 2006 04:41 pmMy friend Christine and I spet the Saturday before Christmas making candy to give as gifts! Here is the end result, a box with one of each of the six kinds we made:

Going across the top, that's cream fondant, almond-covered truffle, raspberry fondant, chocolate truffle, chocolate-covered caramel, and coconut-covered truffle.

Cream fondant centers and caramels ready for dipping. We filled a dish with chocolate and 'dipped' the centers by just covering our hands in chocolate and rolling them around in our palms. It was ridiculously messy.

The fruits of our labor! This is everything we made, except it's only half the caramels because we only dipped half of them that we made. We still had more caramels than anything else, though! They're on the two trays in the back.

All of the truffles! These are SO easy, by the way. Three ingredients, people! Chocolate, cream and butter. That's it!

Raspberry fondant!

This is only half of the caramels we dipped, which makes this one-fourth of all the caramel we made. I am ROLLING in caramel here, folks.
