To spoilify a friend rotten!
Jan. 4th, 2007 06:36 amWhat to make for your best friend when he loves The Wizard of Oz/any Oz related stories/Wicked, his favorite Ozian character is Ozma, and he's very health/beauty/hygiene conscious, loves sweets, and you once made him a personalized Christmas stocking, which he lost while moving, and had been not-so-lightly hinting that he'd like another?
Why, you put together one of these for him!:

Ahhhh I *so* love how this came out. ^_^ I get to give it to him tomorrow, and, lucky me, my Christmas present from him is a day at DisneyWorld! :D
First off, here's the stocking:

Dark t-shirt transfer paper is too damn expensive!! So I just used regular t-shirt transfer stuff, and ironed the patchworky collage Ozma design onto light colored felt (which worked out a lot better than I thought it would!!) and then cut and glued the patchy felt pieces in place on the store-bought green stocking. :D
Here's some of those fine Ozian goods that went inside!:

They're mostly all wrapped up (in green Christmas paper and ribbons, of course!) - but, there's a candle (labeled as "Quoxwood tree scented"), a little bottle of bath salts (labeled to be "Made of the finest Ozmopolitan ingredients!"), a pack of generic green Tic-Tacs (labeled inside to be "Intended to keep your breath as fresh as the breeze from Kiamo Ko!"), a pack with 2 bars of pretty soaps, one green and one white (labeled "To keep you froggy-ferny, or prevent such, as you choose!"), and, from my sister, a gift-pack of "real" Tic-Tacs (strangely enough, I couldn't find them, hence the generics!) and a lip balm, wrapped together and labeled "Various items of Ozian delicacy!"
Then, there's the oh-so-lovely (don'tcha think??) bottle of Goya coconut-pineapple juice, labeled with a small print of the "Amazing Magical Potion liquid Greening Elixir" page from The Grimmerie. Finally, there's an "Ooze Toob green apple squeeze candy," labeled as "Green Elixir: Conveniently travel-sized for the busy Ozma!"
Oh, and then my sister got him a "lump of coal" chocolate candy, and I stuck a label on the bottom of it which reads, "You naughty, naughty Ozma!!"
Stuff all this into the stocking (that's the craftiest part!), hang the above-posted "Ozma for a Day" tag thingy on it, and voila!! A present fit for a king! Or in this case, a QUEEN!! HAAAHAHAHAHA...! Or you know, an Ozma...
:D
