Jan. 11th, 2007 06:47 amI was wondering if anyone could tell me which spray adhesive, in your opinion, is the strongest? I've tried:
Elmer's Craft Bond (teh suck)
Blair Maximum Adhesive spray (not much better)
3M 77 (the best so far but still lacking)
I'm using it almost solely to adhere fabrics (many kinds of fabric) to neoprene (quite flexible). I need crazy-strong adhesive! ;-)

Using a nice lightweight lace here. This one gave me massive brain-cramps. I ended up having to almost shellac the lace on with acrylic medium. Which works ok for lace but not for fabrics.

A much heavier lace-patterned velour.
It's just really frustrating when the adhesive doesn't stick as well as it needs to and something ends up having to be ripped apart and started over. I've tried spraying both surfaces, then just spraying one, waiting for a few seconds before making the bond etc. And a spray is really the only thing that can work in this situation as other glues will soak through the fabrics.
I use other glues for attaching trims and flowers and junk so there's no problem there.
Help? Thanks!
