Cute hats on cute little boys

craftgrrlWe had the boyfriend's little ones this past weekend, and, as it FINALLY got cold here in N. Texas, I felt the need to knit hats for them. I had picked up som Lion Brand boucle at a dollar store (ugh! I may have been overcharged even at a dollar/skein.) in the "Jelly Bean" colorway specifically to make something for them. After searching through my hat patterns I decided on this one and got started.

It took all day Staurday for the first hat and most of Sunday for the other one. I was afraid I wouldn't have the younger boy's hat finished in time for them to go home, but by the time they were in Playland at McDonald's on the way back to their mom's house, both boys had hats. My hands hurt too badly for me to be able to pick up my drink, but it was worth it.
They didn't want to take them off, and there is no better compliment a knitter can receive, imho.
