fabric, non-static?

i'm making a laptop sleeve. for the innermost layer i'd like to use something that's soft and won't scratch my laptop. i bought fleece but realized that fleece tends to generate static and that would be bad. a few similar tutorials online say to use an old sweatshirt but i don't know how i feel about that. i also didn't find anything in the memories section (but please correct me if i overlooked something).

so... any ideas about a soft, won't-scratch, non-static fabric?

oh, and bonus points to something i might find in olive green.
