Crafty girls:
Valentine's day is in 2 weeks. I was thinking of "getting" for my girl of 2.5 years some supplies with which to make a scrap book. I guess I'm just wondering, how would you feel if someone did this for you? I am just picturing us working together on it...plus she is way more creative than me so I think any sort of "us" scrapbook deserves her touch.
I hope this isn't that whiney "what should I get my ___ for ___?" kind of entry, I have an idea, just want your input.

Now some things I made for Christmas gifts...

Aforementioned girlfriend's childhood nickname was "Sunshine & Rain" (after her moodiness).
I saw this little girl's shirt on clearance at Old Navy, it really reminded me of her many moods. I paid $0.97 for it.

Cut it up, add a pillow form, voila:

I know it's not the best but it was one of my very first sewing projects so I am proud.

Another Christmas-time gift I made were these corn heating bags. The inner part is a feed corn + jasmine essential oil filled muslin pouch. I sewed decorative covers (so that they're semi-washable) out of leftover fabric from other projects. Just throw them in the microwave for a minute or two and instant heating pad for an hour or so. I even experimented and made two mini "hand warmers".

Thanks in advance for any V-day advice you may have for me :)
