Wrinkles Go Away!

craftgrrlI prewashed and dryered some quilting cottons and now no amount of ironing and/or steaming will get the wrinkles out. What did I do wrong? How can I get rid of the wrinkles?
Aaaagh!
EDIT: You guys are life savers! I didn't have a spritzer bottle, so I turned on the shower and touched the fabrics to the water to get them damp. Then I ironed them again and they are SOOOOO much better now. THANK YOU!
