i'm making a cupids arrow through a preserved heart in a jar for a valentines present ( its a sheeps heart in formaldehyde)
what i need is ideas for how the heck i'm going to make the arrow!! i was thinking of getting a thick piece of wire and then using an aluminium can or some such for the ends, and sort of crossing them over?? ( like two matching pieces slotted into one another) and then painted and glued onto the wire.
any other ideas for how to do this???
also, i think i would need to put it on a spike attached to the base of the jar to stabilise the heart....?!?!
i am going to apply a label to it dyed with tea to age it and a typewriter font saying that it is as well.
anyones ideas, input on types of paint/ glue that wont be affected by the formaldehyde etc would be great.
TIA!
