[identity profile] gasouthard.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
As I posted earlier, I stated that my husband and I make gifts for each other for Valentine's Day. This is also true for our kids (ages 4 and 2). I decided to make my kids their own abc albums of the pictures I absolutely love of each of them (A for adorable, B for beautiful, etc). I was set on this being their only gifts, and then I found this incredible fabric just sitting there in the remnant bin without a tag.

I asked how much it cost and was told $3.56. I just had to purchase it. I didn't know what I was going to do with it but for less than $4 (for over 1.25 yards) - I just needed it. It was too much fun. And then this random person started asking me tons of questions in the yarn section about crochet. I must have been helpful to her because she gave me a 40% off coupon. The cashier let me use the coupon on the fabric so I ended up getting the material for about $2!!! So then I had to decide what to make...

I put a zipper on one side of each pillow (so I didn't have to do any hand sewing). I also used a preformed pillow and just stuffed it inside. The pillows are 27 x 27 inches. I wasn't planning on making this for the kids but that fabric was calling to me that day! I just think it is so much fun! And you can never receive too many gifts right? :) I think my children will love these!

Thanks for looking.
