[identity profile] lyricospinto.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
It's been a LONG LONG time since I posted anything. But never you worry, I haven't been TOTALLY inactive. I've got some stuff to show.

I unfortunatly did not take pictures of most of my crafted christmas prezzies. I crafted almost all of them, but Christmas was looming so close, I just had to move right on to the next one and I finished them all seriously just minutes before I had to give them away, so no time to photograph. But I made a massive amount of christmas stockings, only one of which I am going to post here, because I only remembered to photograph one.

Let's see if I remember how to do this...

A scarf I made for my mom using of one of Mattisse's paintings. It's her absoloute favorite, and she owns every possible version of a print of it, and any other product she could possibly find with it on it. Mugs, calenders, posters, prints, notebooks, you name it. I did some research to make sure there wasn't a scarf that I could BUY at the time, because copying someone elses work like that really bugs me (I come from a family of professional musicians, so I'm usually a stickler for copyright), but I couldn't find one, so I did it.

Up next are some beaded snowflakes I made using this tutorial: http://kayray.org/crafts/snowflake/

For more detailed explination on these, visit my newly created and almost just as recently abandoned craft blog: Luniticraft http://lunaticraft.blogspot.com/ I plan on unabandoning it as soon as I finish this post.

And here's the stocking for my boyfriend to accompany the rest of his christmas gift, as seen hanging off of my Dad's bookcase of super awesomeness (I have a thing for reference books...)

Made with the legs of my favorite pair of jeans, which I wore so much that holes popped up all over via the old fashioned way (not store bought holes), in the knees and thighs, and finally in the butt area, making them unwearable. The checkered fabric comes from one of my favorite button down shirts from H.S. which was actually a boy's old navy shirt. I tried to resize it to make it more fitted to my girlish figure (HAH) and it didn't work out. I figured that all gave it a personal touch. That and the satin ribbon tag that I hand painted using the tip of a seam ripper... That was a pain in the ass let me tell you. But I like the result, so here's a close up with names removed:

Annnnnnd... I think that's it for now. I've got a couple of works in progress, none of which I'll probably finish until Spring break due to lack of supplies at school, but yea... I think that's it.
