Valentines Day crafts/clothing + skirt
Feb. 15th, 2007 04:12 pmsomewhat image-heavy...

I haven’t used sculpey in a few years, and I’ve never used acrylic paint on clothing before, but I wanted to give it a shot.

I really hated this shirt because the shoulder straps made a weird triangular shape, not a regular tank top strap. I took small waist-cinchers off of a pair of old bondage pants and re-made the shoulder straps. Then I took part of the leg off of the pants, and put it around the waist. I really like how it turned out!
Then I used a few heart-shaped stencils to bring more life to the shirt:

I also made a barrette for my hair:

I’m really pleased with how the sculpey hearts came out! I used some red velvet ribbon over the metal to make it all match. (even though you can't see from my crappy image)
The skirt is something I had made a few weeks ago. The pattern came from Generation T: 108 ways to transform a T-shirt It’s one of my most comfortable skirts ^_^
