Durability of polymer clay pendants?
Mar. 9th, 2007 03:03 pmHello ladies! I have seen a few of you on here and also on Etsy making decoupaged polymer clay pendants, which I´ve also started to think is a great idea to easily free-form pendants (rather than using wood etc). The only thing I´m worried about is its durability?
My plan is to make pendants for necklaces, so it has to keep for some swinging around and maybe (hopefully not) getting stuck somewhere while wearing... Should I make them extra thick, and if so, how thick? Also, is the best thing to strung them with help of pushing an eye-pin in the clay, or should I make holes?

The images I have prepared are style icons of different eras, which I have played with in Photoshop. I will string the pendants on a chain with a small charm that has some connection to the "icon" (Faye Dunaway and a gun, Louise Brooks with white pearls etc). Am so excited to get the idea to work soooooooon!
