Dragonfly Cross-stitch
Mar. 16th, 2007 12:09 amFirst-time poster! I've only been a member of the community for a few weeks, but I love it here! You all are amazing!
I just finished this cross-stitch last night. It is from a kit, and has guidelines to follow and all, but it was my first time, so give me a break. I woke up one morning over Spring break and said "I want to do a cross-stitch." Odd, because I had never done one before. But I thought it seemed easy enough, and would be a fun thing I could do in a week during my break. So I did! I went to the craft store, bought a little kit, came home, and went to work.

I'm rather proud of it, being my first endeavor. I thought something like this "stamped" design would be really good for a beginner. However, now I think it would be been better to start off with a design on actual aida cloth, rather than this plain material. That way my X's would have been more uniform. Alas, I bought another kit (with real aida cloth) that I plan to finish in the next couple weeks.
Let me know what you think. Your entries inspire me everyday!
