craftgrrl | sneaky snakes slither slyly

so, it's been a long while once again!

yesterday i spied some funny lil snakes slithering up my driveway...

once upon a time i drew a craptacular picture that i never continued with...

my boyfriend liked them and used his artistic ability to show me up...

and so i created them when i should probably have been studying for nursing exams...

i used a press stud to attach the lil guy inside so he didn't have to be there all the time... i also sewed a piece of wire down one side of each snakey serpant thing and in the larger one theres wire in the top and bottom of the mouth. i used felt and sewed it by hand, including every heart which got quite tedious and the purple felt was alot thinner and started to ... do that thing where it isn't strong and breaks.

and this one just has wire down one side of it, not in the mouth... this was the first one i made.

i haven't sewed with felt and made stuff like that... well i did a fair bit when i was little, particularly in year 3 as mum mentioned when she saw them that my year 3 teacher would have been very proud.

i gave them to my boyfriend for the inspiration and now i kinda miss them so he may find they go on little slithery holidays.
