craftgrrl | painting on frosted glass

I have an old medicine chest/mirror in my bathroom that I decided to keep when I did the bathroom over. One side has a mirror and the other door has a piece of frosted glass with a flower design on it. I'm thinking I'd like to get rid of the design on the frosted glass. Is there an easy way to do this? Also, if I wanted to stencil and paint another design, any particular type of paint I should use?
