craftgrrl | Fun with Glue and Beer! (I kid, I kid!)

My husband homebrews. He also likes to try a lot of different beers and to cut down on costs, he recycles the bottles for home use. Have you ever really looked at labels on beer bottles? There is some mighty fine art on them. Mighty fine.

With that said, I looked at the labels and saw "CRAFT PROJECTS!" We soaked the labels, gently peeled them off the bottles and let them dry. I have managed to collect quite a few labels. Here is just a small sampling of what I have gotten so far....

A serving tray for a Hop Head friend!

The tray cost me all of 79 cents at the Goodwill, I spray painted it black and applied the labels. (It was seen in the first pic with all the labels.)
Another shot, please don't mind the scuzzy table, it is for gardening and chores. We have a nicer table that we use for eating! :D

Her favorite color is purple so I sponged a few different colors on the back. There are some metallics on there, too!

And as always, the action shot! Yeah, I took this pic this morning, no, I didn't drink the beer, but we always have a frosty glass handy! (That bottle is waiting to be stripped of its label!)

Now, I am working on covering a really cool army box that we got at the Goodwill. It is 2'x 2' big so it is taking a little while. I will post pics of that when done.
