Power up, greetings!

Hello everyone.

This is my first post regarding my own crafting.

Under the cut is my first major crocheting project: a power up mushroom from Mario Bros. Prior to this I did a doily some 8 years back, and more recently some booties and a cap for my newborn daughter.

This was done partially with a pattern (mushroom base), and partially without (mushroom top). The top fungi opens up, for compartment fun!

I plan to do a series of video game themed things.  So I'm just getting my hands dirty! It's been fulfilling.
