Man, not having internet for the past two months leaves a girl with a LOT of craftgrrl to catch up on! ;)

I got unexpectedly broken up with this weekend, so I whipped up a simple little friend to make myself feel better:

I also made this lap-blanket for my now-ex a couple of weeks ago, since I found this nifty fabric and his nickname for me was Batman:

It's three layers of fabric total, all freehanded and hand-stitched with no measuring or anything. Yes, I am insane. But just a little bit. Not so bad for a first blanket, anyhow. ;)

My favorite part was the little heart that I stitched on the edge--the white thread glows in the dark:



That thread is pretty nifty stuff. I want to make EVERYTHING glow-in-the-dark now. It may just become an obsession.
